VCS-focused ICT for our local sector

RCVS ICT Centre - Launch event.

We're Live and kicking! ICT Centre and website launched on time and budget, 28 June 2006, 2:00-4:00 pm.

A screenshot of the Launch flyer invite. On Wednesday 28 June, RCVS unveiled new facilities at our Princes Street offices, partly funded by ChangeUp capital funding from the Home Office. The Launch event was attended by staff and volunteers from across the local Voluntary and Community sector. There were presentations and demonstrations as well as delicious refreshments!

Three photos of the Launch (prsentations and a workshop).

The event started with an introduction by David Cornwell, RCVS's Chair. This was followed with presentations by ICT Staff outlining the vision behind the ICT Centre, its facilities, equipment, services and relationship to the ChangeUp programme (both national and RCVS's Local Infrastructure Development Plan).

Some screenshots from the presenation used at the Launch.

The contribution of two individuals (RCVS's Philippa Leary and the RCVS ICT Volunteer George A. Hanoun) were acknowledged.

The Centre was then formally launched by Sue Telfer, RCVS's Director of Operations and Development.

Workshops (including 'Using our new Xerox printer', 'FunderFinder', 'Using ROLL - Richmond Online Learning') were held after the presentations. RCVS staff and volunteers were also available to answer any questions or provide more information.

We were greatly pleased and appreciative of the very positive feedback we received.
